The Story

I turned down the salary
and took the risk.

I didn't get into real estate because I had a plan. In college, I spotted a job posting for a real estate assistant. My brother Austin and I had been talking about investing ever since we read Rich Dad Poor Dad together, so I took the job to learn from the inside. While working as an assistant, I got licensed. Started hosting open houses. Slowly took on more.

When I graduated, my broker offered me a salaried position. Before I answered, I asked him one question: did he believe I could make six figures as a full-time Realtor? He said yes. I turned down the salary and took the bet on myself.

2007 was humbling; three homes sold, that was it. 2008 felt like a breakthrough until it wasn't. Eight homes under contract in a single month, then the financial crisis hit and every deal collapsed overnight. A foreclosure company offered me $65k a year. On the drive home, something stopped me: if I was willing to give that commitment to someone else's company, why wouldn't I give it to myself? I turned the job down and never looked back.

Austin and I weren't just brothers; we were building together. We had started ANG Real Estate, named after both of us, with a shared vision of what we could create side by side.

Then I lost him. Austin died by suicide. There are no clean words for what that does to a person, to a family, to a future you had mapped out with someone who was supposed to be in it. It changed everything about why I build. It's why I mentor agents the way I do. It's why time freedom isn't a tagline. Mental health awareness isn't a side cause; it's woven into the foundation of how I operate.

After Austin passed, Heather and I made a decision: we weren't going to let what we started die with him. We began investing in rental properties in his honor and named the portfolio 418 Rentals, a nod to Austin's birthday, April 18th. Every property we add is a piece of what he and I were always going to build together.

When our youngest daughter was born, we gave her the middle name Nicole, making her Aubree Nicole Good. Her initials are ANG. The same initials Austin and I had put on the companies we were building together. He's in the foundation of everything.

"Twenty-two years in. Six businesses. One mission. Time freedom, lasting wealth, and a legacy worth leaving, that's not a tagline. It's a promise I made to Austin."

Nick works with real estate agents across Frisco, Plano, and McKinney who want to build a real business with real systems and real support.

The Full Picture

Real Estate, Property Management, and Investing in Dallas-Fort Worth

Nick Good is a 22-year real estate operator based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. He leads The Good Home Team powered by PLACE at eXp Realty, serving buyers and sellers across Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Allen, The Colony, and all of Collin County. He is the Amazon best-selling author of Six Figure Agent and the host of This Week In DFW Real Estate. Everything he builds sits on one idea: help people build businesses, build wealth, and build freedom through North Texas real estate.

Nick works with four kinds of people. He helps real estate agents who want more production, better systems, and residual income. He helps landlords who own rental property and want it managed the right way. He helps investors who want to grow wealth in DFW without doing every job themselves. And he helps business owners who want to model how a multi-company operator actually runs the day to day.

The Good Home Team

The Good Home Team powered by PLACE is a top DFW real estate team brokered by eXp Realty. Agents on the team plug into live buyer and seller leads, proven listing and follow-up systems, AI-driven tools, and real mentorship from an operator who still closes deals. The team gives producing agents the leverage, marketing, and accountability most people spend years trying to assemble alone. New agents get a structured launch path from their first day to their first closing and beyond.

Homeward Property Management

Homeward Property Management handles single-family rentals and small portfolios across Dallas-Fort Worth. Homeward takes tenant screening, rent collection, maintenance coordination, and owner reporting off the landlord's plate so owning rental property feels like an investment instead of a second job. For investors who buy, rent, and hold in North Texas, it is the operations layer that protects the asset and keeps cash flow steady.

Why DFW Agents Choose eXp Realty

Agents across Dallas-Fort Worth move to eXp Realty for the math and the model. eXp runs an 80/20 commission split with a $16,000 annual cap and no franchise fees, so high-volume agents keep far more of what they earn. Beyond splits, eXp agents build residual income through revenue share and can earn company stock, turning a single sales career into compounding, long-term wealth. Nick Good has sponsored more than 220 agents into eXp over seven years, pairing that model with the leads, systems, and mentorship agents actually need to grow.

Whether you are an agent weighing a move, a landlord who needs a better management partner, or an investor building a DFW portfolio, the goal is the same. Build something durable, keep more of what you make, and buy back your time.

Common Questions

It depends on what you want. To partner with Nick at eXp Realty and get access to PLACE systems, the done-for-you marketing team, and eXp revenue share, yes, you would need to move your license to eXp Realty. To join The Good Home Team you would need to be at eXp Realty as well. If you are not ready to make a brokerage move, the Residual Agent Network at getresidualagent.com is completely separate and open to any agent at any brokerage, free to join, no license change required.

Every Thursday at 12PM CST we show agents exactly how the done-for-you client engine works: ad campaigns, speed-to-lead systems, behavioral alerts, and the full marketing infrastructure, live and free. No pitch. Just the system running in real time. Join at partnerwithnickgood.com/live

When an agent you sponsor into eXp closes a transaction, eXp shares a percentage of their company dollar with you. Not from the agent's commission, from eXp's side. The agent's paycheck is unchanged. Your share arrives monthly and continues as long as you hold an active license. Revenue share is only available to agents who join eXp Realty. It is separate from the Residual Agent Network, which is open to all agents regardless of brokerage.

RAN is a done-for-you utility concierge service that turns every client closing into an ongoing revenue stream. You make one intro connecting your client to the RAN Concierge team. They handle everything: internet, electric, gas, security, warranty, moving, in one call. You get a real revenue share on every service your client activates, plus annual reshop income when they switch. Free to join. No brokerage change required. Any agent can access it at getresidualagent.com

Three paths depending on where you are. If you want to see the done-for-you marketing system live before making any decision, join the free Thursday call at 12PM CST at partnerwithnickgood.com/live. If you want to start building residual income from your closings right now without changing brokerages, join the waitlist at getresidualagent.com. If you are ready to talk about moving to eXp Realty and partnering with Nick, book a 15-minute call at nickgood.com.

Frisco, TX

Real Estate Agents in Frisco, TX

There's a better model. Here's what it looks like.

Frisco is one of the fastest-growing real estate markets in the country. Median home prices above $550K, consistent volume, and a buyer pool that keeps coming. If you're a producing agent here and your brokerage isn't compounding your income the way the market is growing, that's the problem worth solving.

What Most Frisco Agents Are Dealing With Right Now

  • 1.High splits at a traditional franchise eating into every deal in a high-price market
  • 2.No residual income, every month starts at zero regardless of last month's production
  • 3.Systems and tools that require agents to build everything themselves

About RAN

The Residual Agent Network lets agents earn revenue share from the agents they help bring to eXp. It compounds over time. Most brokerages don't offer anything like it. This is income that builds whether you're closing deals or not.

Common Questions

How does eXp's split compare to most Frisco brokerages?+

eXp is 80/20 with a $16,000 flat cap and no franchise fee. Keller Williams is typically 64/36 with a cap of $21,000–$30,000 plus a 6% royalty on every deal, so high-volume agents usually pay far more per year.

What is the Residual Agent Network (RAN)?+

RAN is Nick Good's network of agents who have partnered at eXp. As a RAN partner you earn revenue share from agents you bring in, income that compounds beyond your personal production, whether or not you're closing deals that month.

Is The Good Home Team accepting agents in Frisco?+
