Top Real Estate Team in Texas: The Good Home Team Makes eXp Top 10

By Nick Good · July 26, 2026

The Good Home Team ranked No. 6 by volume and No. 7 by units on eXp Realty's June 2026 Top 10 Mega Teams list for Texas. Here is what that means for DFW agents.

Top Real Estate Team in Texas: The Good Home Team Makes eXp Top 10

The Good Home Team is now ranked a top real estate team in Texas, landing at No. 6 by closed volume and No. 7 by closed units on eXp Realty's official June 2026 Top 10 Mega Teams list for the state. These rankings are based on closed and finalized production for the month of June 2026, not projections, not pendings, and not self-reported numbers. For a team based in Plano and serving DFW markets like McKinney, Frisco, and Allen, cracking the top 10 in a state the size of Texas is a milestone I do not take lightly.

If you are an agent anywhere in Dallas-Fort Worth and you want to see the systems behind this ranking, let's talk.

What This Ranking Actually Measures

Every month, eXp Realty publishes state-level rankings of its top producing mega teams. With 83,060 agents company-wide as of the end of 2025, and Texas being one of its largest markets, the competition for these ten spots is real. The June 2026 list ranks teams two ways: total closed sales volume and total closed units.

The Good Home Team came in at No. 6 statewide by volume. On the units side, we ranked No. 7. Being on both lists matters to me more than either number alone. A team can land on the volume list by closing a handful of luxury deals. A team can land on the units list by grinding out small transactions. Showing up on both means the business is balanced, which is exactly how we built it.

The Numbers Behind the Ranking

This is not a one-month spike. In 2025 The Good Home Team closed 162 sides and $65.6 million in volume, which made us RealTrends Verified #1 in Plano, Texas for both volume and sides. We were also named No. 45 on the 2026 NAHREP Top 100 Teams list nationally. June 2026 was simply another month of the same system doing its job, and I broke down exactly how the June production came together in a separate post.

I have been in DFW real estate for 22 years. Twelve of those were at Keller Williams, and the last seven have been at eXp Realty, where I have also sponsored more than 220 agents into the company. I share that because rankings without context are just trophies. The context here is consistency: verified production, year after year, out of one team office in Plano covering Collin County and the broader DFW metro.

Why a Team Ranking Beats an Individual One

Here is the part most agents miss. A top individual agent ranking tells you one person is talented. A top team ranking tells you a system works without depending on any single person, including me. I did not personally close the production that put us at No. 6 in Texas. Our agents did, using shared listing systems, staffed operations, and lead flow that the team provides.

That distinction is exactly what you should evaluate if you are deciding where to hang your license in DFW. Talent is not transferable. Systems are. When you join a team with a working system, the system starts working for you on day one.

Is Joining a Real Estate Team Worth It?

I get this question on almost every call, so let me answer it the way I answer agents in my office. Joining a real estate team is worth it when the math works: the value of the leads, systems, staff, and coaching you receive has to exceed the split you give up. According to NAR member data, the median agent closes around ten transactions a year. Agents on high-producing teams routinely close two to three times that, because they spend their hours in front of clients instead of hunting for them.

On our team, agents plug into PLACE systems, transaction coordination, and a database that feeds them appointments. Solo agents in Frisco or McKinney competing against that infrastructure are not competing against an agent. They are competing against an entire operating company. That is the honest answer: a bad team is not worth any split, and a ranked, verified team usually is.

Do Real Estate Teams Provide Leads?

The good ones do, and it should be a dealbreaker if they do not. On The Good Home Team, lead generation is done for you: paid lead sources, sign calls, open house traffic, a nurtured database, and marketing spend that an individual agent could not justify alone. I wrote a full breakdown of the done-for-you lead generation our DFW agents get if you want the specifics.

When you interview any team, ask three questions. How many leads or appointments will I actually receive each month? Who pays for them? What happens to my database if I leave? The answers will tell you quickly whether the team is built to grow agents or just to collect splits.

What This Means If You Are a DFW Agent

Rankings are a lagging indicator. The leading indicators are the daily systems: listing appointments set by staff, transactions handled by coordinators, and agents freed up to sell. That is what produced a top 10 finish in Texas for June 2026, and it is repeatable for the agents who plug into it.

It also does not require moving to Plano. Our agents work McKinney, Frisco, Allen, The Colony, and every corner of Collin County and the metro. The model is built around leads, coaching, and operations support, not around a desk in an office. Some agents partner with me at eXp Realty for the full PLACE system. Others start by simply watching how we operate before making any decision, and I would rather you do that than take my word for a ranking graphic.

Rankings do not change careers. Systems do. If you are building your business in DFW and want to see how a top ranked Texas team operates, let's have a conversation. No pitch, just the numbers, the same way I laid them out here.

Is joining a real estate team worth it?+

It is worth it when the value of the leads, systems, staff, and coaching you receive exceeds the split you give up. Per NAR data the median agent closes around ten transactions a year, while agents on high-producing teams routinely close two to three times that because appointments, marketing, and transaction management are handled for them. A team with no verified production or lead flow is usually not worth the split.

Do real estate teams provide leads?+

The best teams do. The Good Home Team provides done-for-you lead generation including paid lead sources, sign calls, open house traffic, and a nurtured database, funded by the team rather than the agent. Before joining any team, ask how many leads or appointments you will receive each month, who pays for them, and what happens to your database if you leave.
